On my 20th Birthday I stood on the beach in Scarborough, looked out at the vastness of the sea stretching off into the horizon and thought ‘Even if I only live until I’m 40, I’ve got all the life I’ve ever known to go again…’ It seemed like such a lot of life ahead of me – such a lot of time. Then I blinked and BOOM! Practically 40?!
Being 20 feels so recent to me that I can still remember very clearly how I viewed the world at that age. What's funny is that even though I don't feel like much time has passed, how I view the world has probably changed quite remarkably since then. Having said that, life is so fast paced that I rarely get chance to think about how I feel these days. This blog is a self indulgent promise that I will stop and gather my thoughts - and at the same time it is also a personal challenge to write regularly and be brave enough to share it with others!
Up until my 40th Birthday on the 16th April, I will think about a different topic every week and I will write about it honestly.
